Miranda Lambert is extending her Amazon Music collaboration with a new Songline album and film arriving in November. Amazon Music announced that the album will be released Nov. 6, followed by the Songline film Nov. 13, continuing the country star’s career-spanning showcase for the platform. The Songline series focuses on songwriting, pairing intimate performances with conversations about the stories and creative processes behind the music.
The announcement follows Amazon Music’s debut of Miranda Lambert: Songline Live, which premiered Oct. 7 after being recorded Oct. 1 at The Truth in Nashville. Lambert performed selections from her latest album, Crisco, alongside reimagined versions of songs from throughout her catalog, with a 12-piece string section accompanying her. A rebroadcast of Lambert’s Songline Live debuted through Amazon Music, Prime Video and Twitch.
Lambert’s set included songs such as “Kerosene,” “Only Prettier,” “Fastest Girl in Town,” “White Liar,” “Bluebird,” “Vice,” “The House That Built Me” and “Tin Man,” as well as newer Crisco tracks including “Snakeskin Boots,” “Sunset Marquis” and “Crisco.” Chris Stapleton also joined Lambert for “A Song to Sing.”
The Songline album will collect performances from the Nashville special and will be available to stream on Amazon Music’ while the accompanying film will expand on the musical presentation with exclusive interviews in which Lambert discusses her songs, career and creative journey, and will stream on Amazon Prime Video.
