Stella Lefty has reached No. 1 at country radio for the first time with her breakout single “Boston,” marking a major milestone for the rising country-pop singer. The song has topped the Mediabase country singles chart this week and also reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart dated Sept. 26.
“Boston” climbed to the top of Billboard’s Country Airplay chart in its 22nd week, drawing 34.2 million audience impressions from Sept. 11-17, an 8% increase, according to Luminate. The achievement also gives Atlantic Outpost, the country-focused label launched by Atlantic Music Group in 2025, its first No. 1 song on the chart. The song’s radio success follows a rapid rise that began after its release in March.
Lefty initially gained attention online before “Boston” became her breakthrough hit, eventually reaching No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. Co-written with Grace Enger, Jacob Kasher Hindlin, Joe Reeves and Noah Kahan, the song incorporates elements of Kahan’s “Stick Season,” for which Kahan received a songwriting credit. “Boston” also appears on Lefty’s debut album, “Long Way Home,” which was released Aug. 28.
