Darius Rucker has released “I Believe,” his first new music since his 2023 album “Carolyn’s Boy.”
Written by Rucker with Eric Paslay, Wayne Hector and producer Steve Robson, “I Believe” centers on perseverance, hope, love and truth during uncertain times. Rucker has described the song as “my love letter to America,” adding, “The way the world is, where we are right now – I believe in us.”
The song had already begun building an audience before its official release. Rucker performed it at several shows, including his annual Darius & Friends benefit concert at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium and an appearance at the Grand Ole Opry.
The three-time Grammy Award winner recently wrapped his Songs of Summer Tour and also reached Spotify’s Billions Club with “Wagon Wheel”. Rucker also recently hosted the fifth annual Riverfront Revival festival in Charleston, South Carolina, which took place Oct. 9-10.
