Carly Pearce revealed the upcoming release of her fifth studio album, Honest Woman, scheduled to debut on August 28 – marking her inaugural album cycle under BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville, following her departure from Big Machine Label Group.
Co-produced by Pearce alongside her longtime creative collaborator Ben West, the 16-track record leans heavily into traditional country instrumentation and the bluegrass melodies of her native Kentucky. In an official statement regarding her artistic direction, Pearce expressed that the recording process sparked a deeper period of introspection. “When I started making Honest Woman, I found myself rediscovering who I am and why I wanted to be a country music singer in the first place,” Pearce said. “This album takes me back to the beginning of my story, where the sounds of classic country and bluegrass music shaped who I am. I’m so proud of this body of work, and I truly feel like it’s my best yet.”
The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter accompanied her announcement with the immediate release of a new track, “She Don’t” (see the visualizer – HERE.). The upcoming album also features several previously-released singles, including “Dream Come True,” “Church Girl,” “You Can Have Him,” and her current charting duet with Riley Green, “If I Don’t Leave I’m Gonna Stay.” To further ground the album in acoustic roots music, Pearce recruited veteran bluegrass musicians Dan Tyminski and Molly Tuttle as featured vocalists on select tracks.
To support the release of Honest Woman, Pearce will embark on an intimate fall concert series titled “Honest Woman: Up Close.” Rather than performing in large arenas, the tour will feature consecutive two-night residencies in major North American cities, including Detroit, Chicago, Los Angeles, Toronto, and New York City.
