Brandi Carlile has released her latest single, “Life On The Run,” a collaboration written with Aaron Dessner and produced by Carlile, Dessner, and Andrew Watt. The song explores themes of self-reflection, freedom, and personal rediscovery.

The release arrives alongside a new partnership between Carlile and the National Park Foundation aimed at helping preserve America’s national parks. The effort also involves Carlile’s Looking Out Foundation, with $1 from every ticket sold for next weekend’s Echoes Through the Canyon event at The Gorge Amphitheatre going toward the foundation’s conservation work. The three-day concert series will feature performances from Indigo Girls, Bonnie Raitt, I’m With Her, Sara Bareilles, The Highwomen, and others, while National Park Foundation representatives will help promote awareness throughout the festival.

Speaking about the collaboration, Carlile said, “Our national parks are the heart and soul of our nation. Even in our darkest days when we need a North Star, we need to look no further than the Olympic Peninsula, Yosemite, or the Canyonlands. The Gemini energy that pulls me back to the wild time and time again is something I’ve learned to embrace with music, and honestly, every part of who I am. I’m not the only one. The wilderness calls on us all to return to ourselves, and the National Park Foundation reminds us that we have a shared duty to protect these sacred spaces. We all come from the lost and found…to the great unknown.”

Carlile’s Human Tour will continue through the fall with performances at Bridgestone Arena, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Dickies Arena, Moody Center, and Santa Barbara Bowl. She is also scheduled to headline Newport Folk Festival and perform at All Things Go NYC and All Things Go DC later this year.
