Jon Pardi and his wife, Summer Pardi, have announced they are divorcing after five years of marriage, saying they will remain focused on raising their two young daughters together as they begin a new chapter.
The couple shared the news in a joint statement on social media, writing, “After much thought, we have made the difficult decision to end our marriage. Our daughters will always remain our highest priority and we are committed to moving forward with love and respect as co-parents.” They added, “Thank you so much for your understanding, support, and respect as we navigate these changes as a family.”
Shortly after the announcement, Pardi told fans he would temporarily step away from social media while continuing his scheduled performances on his ongoing Honkytonk Hollywood Tour. In a message posted to his Instagram Stories, he wrote, “While I navigate this next chapter, I’m going to take some time away from social media to focus on myself and my family. Thanks to you all for the love and support. My team will handle posting for the time being. I’ll see you at the shows.”
Pardi, 41, and Summer, 37, married in November 2020 after becoming engaged the previous year during a stop on his Heartache Medication tour. The pair first met in 2017 on a blind date arranged by a mutual friend and went on to welcome two daughters, Presley Fawn and Sienna Grace.
The divorce announcement came less than a day after Summer shared that her father, Larry Duncan, had been diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a form of blood cancer. She reposted his message expressing optimism about treatment while thanking supporters for their encouragement. Neither Jon nor Summer have provided additional comment beyond their joint statement.
