Brad Paisley is rolling out a new long-term music venture called Tacklebox, a collection of songs blending unreleased material from the early days of his career with newly written tracks inspired by classic country sounds from the 1980s and 1990s. The first release from the project, “Fallin’,” is now available on streaming platforms.

Paisley explained that the idea behind Tacklebox is to create an ongoing stream of music rather than a traditional album release. “I see this ‘project’ as never-ending. It’s almost like the fans have a direct link to my Dropbox or to a playlist that never ends,” Paisley says. “We are calling it Tacklebox because it’s a box full of hooks, country lyric hooks.”

The project pulls from songs written throughout his career, including tracks dating back to the 1990s that were never officially recorded or released. He also created new material inspired by artists and production styles associated with classic country acts like Alan Jackson, Brooks & Dunn, Alabama, George Strait, and Garth Brooks. Much of the recording took place at The Castle Recording Studios, the same studio where Paisley made several of his early albums.

Alongside the new music, Paisley announced additional dates for the ‘Brad Paisley Live Tour’, which begins August 27 in Bridgeport. The run of shows follows his European performances scheduled for June and will be mixed in with previously announced festival appearances. Jake Worthington will join select stops as an opening act, with more guest performers expected to be revealed later.
