The nominees for the 61st Academy of Country Music Awards have been revealed, with female artists leading the charge. Megan Moroney stands at the forefront with nine nominations, followed closely by Miranda Lambert with eight. Ella Langley and Lainey Wilson each earned seven nods, continuing a strong showing for women in country music this year. Among male artists, Chris Stapleton leads with six nominations, while Zach Top secured five and Cody Johnson picked up four.
The race for Entertainer of the Year includes a star-studded lineup: Moroney, Wilson, Stapleton, Johnson, Luke Combs, Jelly Roll, and Morgan Wallen. Wilson took home the honor last year and is once again in contention.
Several artists earned their first ACM nominations, including: 49 Winchester, Avery Anna, Mackenzie Carpenter, Carter Faith, Caroline Jones, Vincent Mason, Emily Ann Roberts, Thelma & James, Hudson Westbrook, and Stephen Wilson Jr.
The ceremony will feature performances from major country acts such as Lambert, Johnson, Wilson, Kacey Musgraves, Little Big Town, and Riley Green. Musgraves is set to debut new music from her upcoming album Middle of Nowhere, while Wilson will perform “Can’t Sit Still” and Green will sing “Change My Mind.” Additional highlights of ACM Awards week in Las Vegas include fan events and live shows across the city, adding to a full weekend of country music celebrations.
The awards will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, May 17, airing live at 8 p.m. ET on Prime Video. Viewers can also tune in through the Amazon Music channel on Twitch and the Amazon Music app.
